This is a great commentary by The Palm Beach Post‘s Arts Writer, Larry Aydlette, regarding what he feels is the Eagles’ best work. He states that to discover the real Eagles, not the Don Henley-Glenn Frey Band, you have to dig deeper into their first four studio albums. He feels that the Eagles were a looser, grittier, more experimental band at that time. A group that collaborated, had soaring harmonies and were good-time guitar rockers.
