World Classic Rockers (1995 – 2008)

World Classic Rockers (or WCR) is a rock supergroup band that was founded in 1995 by Nick St. Nicholas of Steppenwolf. St. Nicholas has toured with the band since its inception, which, in similar fashion to Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band, rotates its lineup on the contributing musicians’ projects at a given time.

In 1995, Meisner, Rich & Swan continue to tour sporadically. After six months of persuasion, Nick St. Nicholas convinces Meisner to join the World Classic Rockers. They make only one appearance that year on September 18th at the Derby Dinner Theatre in Louisville, KY.

    • Thank you for your comment which makes me think of the 1995 quote by Glenn Frey that we have up now. “When I saw Randy (with Poco) my tongue just fell right out on the table. I just couldn’t believe that anybody could look, sing, and play cool all at the same time. It was too much for me.”

  1. Hey, this is so cool to see. I probably have more pictures from the concert in the park series from Santa Clarita in 2000. I’ll take a look and send you other pictures – the photos of myself getting 3 autographs were taken by my father, John Warling, if you don’t mind re-crediting them!

    • Thank you for your comment, Colin! We’re glad that you found our Blog and the information that you provided on the photo credit. How great that your father was able to capture the moment of you getting the autographs of three rock legends. It must have been a wonderful concert. If you would like to share more pictures from this concert we would be most happy to post them.
