MusiCares MUSICIANS AS ARTISTS Publication Party
November 1, 1994
On November 1, 1994, Randy attended a publication party, hosted by the musicians’ charity, MusiCares, for Musicians As Artists, a collection of contemporary art by 55 musicians. The event, held at B.B. King’s Music Club in Universal City, included a silent auction of artwork and a concert. Only 100 copies of the leather-bound book were made available at the price of $1,000, which included admission for four to the private party.
Below is the spread about Randy in Musicians As Artists.
The hand sculpture was kept in a glass case in his home until his death.

Established in 1989, MusiCares provides short-term financial and medical support to struggling musicians.
As Randy says below: “I wish they had had this when I started out.”
