On March 10th, 1973, the Eagles played the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Randy’s bass playing is compared to Rick Danko’s & his “chillingly beautiful” performance of “Certain Kind Of Fool” is the highlight of the evening.
A closer look at the Eagles appearance at Popgala, a two-day, made-for-TV pop festival in Voorburg, Netherlands, which featured thirteen bands, and aired a week later on Dutch television.
The Eagles performed for an “exuberant” Dutch audience at the Ahoy. Joe Walsh, not yet a member of the band, opened.

The Eagles performed two nights each in Glasgow, Scotland and Stafford, England. In Glasgow, Joe Walsh played the bagpipes in a kilt, and Randy’s version of “Take It To The Limit” was a highlight at both venues.
Forty-four years ago this week, the Eagles gave an interview for BBC Radio 1 in London shortly after their arrival to kick off their European tour. Each member is interviewed individually, including Randy who answers questions for a full six minutes.
The Eagles played the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on November 12th and De Doelen in Rotterdam on the 13th. The group also received an award and took a set of famous photos.
