This press kit for Randy’s first solo album included a bio, photos, and a rare interview.
This set of publicity photos was taken by Grammy-winning photographer, Gene Brownell, in 1978. Randy met Brownell through his producer at the time, Alan Brackett, who was good friends with the him. Brownell is remembered for his bizarre photos and album covers, hence the rare photo of Randy posing with the mannequin.
Photos from this session were sent out with press kits for Randy’s solo debut in 1978.
See the kit below, which includes a rare interview with Randy.

Randy’s vintage green Mercury was used in the photos.
An uncropped version of the photo used in the gatefold also appeared on the picture sleeve for “I Really Want You Here Tonight.”
A different pose was used for this ad in the Los Angeles Times, September 3rd, 1978.
