Randy Meisner released his first solo album in June 1978, less than a year after his departure from the Eagles. Although his debut became what he later called “a desk album,” it was one Randy felt he had to make.
These photos were taken at a rehearsal on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles in 1978. Representatives from Nasty Cordless, who created the first wireless guitar transmitter system, attended the rehearsal and gave Randy and his band t-shirts for trying out their product. Many thanks to Randy’s longtime friend, Don Ullstrom, who was a member of his first solo band, for this information.

This press kit for Randy’s first solo album included a bio, photos, and a rare interview.

Randy’s vintage green Mercury was used in the photos.

An uncropped version of the photo used in the gatefold also appeared on the picture sleeve for “I Really Want You Here Tonight.”
A different pose was used for this ad in the Los Angeles Times, September 3rd, 1978.
